In January 1963, Raoul Casadei married Pina Sirgiovanni and had three sons: Carolina, Mirna and Mirko. For Raoul and Pina the family had to embody the values of sharing and free expression, a vision of freedom and union that has always represented the true strength of the family Casadei, appreciated not only for its music, but also for the authenticity and human warmth it transmits.

of the house
The project of the "Recinto", as he called it sympathetic Raoul, was born from the desire of Raoul and Pina Casadei to be able to gather children in a single family space with an emancipated lifestyle.
An oasis of green in the center of the village and near the sea, this house is for the whole Italy symbol of aggregation and hospitality and perfectly embodies the manifesto of the people of Romagna: the reception in front of a glass of wine and a smile for everyone.

The heart of sharing
With his spirit constantly aimed at new projects, the Recinto was one of Raoul's greatest dreams: a place to live ideal sharing and love for simple things, a reflection of his music. The dream came true: in the middle of the courtyard the house of Raoul and Pina was first born, open to all and with the always equipped table, ready to welcome children and friends at any time. Around it, the houses of the three children with their families, their autonomy and privacy. Raoul and Pina were able to create a cohesive family community without physical barriers, led by a festive and open climate.
The Recinto became a rose microcosm of nature and tradition, where the organic vegetable garden, fruit trees, hens, represented the pulsating heart, symbols of a simple and authentic life. A place of collective rites like the preparation of jams and cakes, the collection of lemons, the grilled in the garden or starting point for bike rides between countryside and hills, walk on the beach or swim.

Alla fine degli anni ’70, Raoul e Pina decisero di fondare una propria etichetta ed edizione musicale. Con il tempo e senza forzature, riuscirono a coinvolgere i figli, integrandoli ciascuno nei ruoli che meglio riflettessero le loro inclinazioni.
‘Una specie di organizzazione all’americana’ – come amava definirla Raoul – ‘pur rimanendo genuina e artigianale’. Nell’ufficio di casa, riuscirono a gestire la produzione musicale e a curare i contatti con le orchestre di tutta Italia che suonavano le canzoni di Casadei che, nel periodo di massimo splendore, erano più di 8.000.

Carolina, la figlia più grande, dopo gli studi linguistici, decide di intraprendere il suo viaggio nell’impresa familiare sull’iconica showboat The Ship of the Sun come animatrice e inizia a cimentarsi nel settore della discografia, finché diventa responsabile della comunicazione e marketing e infine manager dell’Orchestra Casadei, ruolo che la impegnerà per circa 30 anni.
Mirna, la seconda figlia, si dedicherà alla parte artistica del mondo Casadei, curando l’immagine di Raoul e il look dell’intera Orchestra, seguendo la realizzazione di videoclip e servizi fotografici e lo sviluppo delle idee per gli spettacoli.
Mirko il più giovane dei figli prenderà in mano l’organizzazione tecnica e strutturale del tour nazionale dell’Orchestra Casadei, fino a decidere nel 2000 di dirigerla direttamente e artisticamente, conquistando il suo posto al centro del palcoscenico.

Un uomo in armonia con la natura
Un uomo in armonia con la natura
Raoul Casadei ha sempre coltivato un legame profondo non solo con la sua gente ma anche con la sua terra.
Si dedicava personalmente all’orto e agli alberi da frutto della sua tenuta, annaffiandoli ogni mattina, coltivandoli con cura e senza veleni. Considerava questa passione direttamente connessa al suo amore per la casa e per la famiglia. La sua mente creativa non si fermava solo al campo della musica. Per rendere il lavoro in serra meno faticoso, aveva ideato soluzioni pratiche come colture rampicanti e tavoli rialzati per lavorare con più comodità. Per il suo pollaio utilizzava tecniche ingegnose, come un terreno drenante fatto di conchiglie e un’illuminazione calda per simulare l’estate durante i mesi invernali. Non mancavano le escursioni in campagna, sempre in compagnia del suo inseparabile cane Folk e naturalmente le lunghe passeggiate quotidiane sulla spiaggia, che chiamava affettuosamente “le mie Maldive”, che tanto avevano contribuito all’ispirazione di testi e di musiche diventati successi del repertorio dell’Orchestra Casadei.
